Default lighting question

is the bulb on our inner headlight a 192 bulb? Im trying to find an LED replacement for it. I really hate the amber color of the stock bulb. Doesn't match our HID headlight.

I believe they are......they are also call the "wedge bulbs" they are pretty easy to find online. But there has been problem with the LED bulbs that can not withstand the heat from the DRL. So if you want to replace the wedge bulbs I recommend you change the DRL to LED as well.......

I'm in agreement with JMan. I actually went into Advance Auto last weekend and the salesman was actually telling me that I would need to buy a "kit". I'm not really sure what he was referring to, though.

from what i know you wouldnt need to buy any kits....he probably doesnt know what your talking about, probably thinking you want to change the drl bulb to hid...all you would need is a new "wedge" or a 194 bulb...should just have to swithc them out...

just a heads up if you change your DRL to LED you will loose highbeams...maybe an option would be to have DRLs turned off, that way that bulb only comes on for highbeams...

And to run the DRL with LED, the LED would have to run on half power. Most LEDs will not run on half power and you will need to re-wire the DRL circuit.

just another reason why not to get LED DRLs...i ment to keep facotry bulb and just turn off DRL(if heat is a factor for the LED wedge bulbs)...
