Can you even buy an extended warranty that covers things from the "basic" warranty after the basic warranty is expired? What's to stop you from buying a warranty to cover something that you already know has gone bad?

I am considering the 125k warranty for $2890. I am really happy I contacted Troy Dietrich. Seems pretty easy. Send in a letter with your mileage and a copy of your registration . He calls you a week later to pay over the phone. I think I am going to do the 125K mile warranty. I am picky and I don't intend on getting rid of my GS wether I get a GTR or LS460

That is why you can only buy factory extended warranty before your bumper to bumper expires, so people do not buy the extended warranty just to fix an existing problem.
The Lexus platinum warranty covers all electronics. The bumper to bumper warranty covers thing like seats, plastic and wood trims and a few other things that the extended warranty doesn’t.

That's not a bad deal if it's the top-of-the-line Lexus policy that covers everything. Is this with zero deductible? is the total term 10 years?
