I like it on tightie's car...but mine's silver. The more I look at it the more I don't really like it.

Personally, I'm not a fan of blacked out headlights, especially on a silver car. I myself have the same color car as you and I would not do it. Although yours aren't too bad since they aren't super dark. Just my $.02.

Too hard to see at night!
You are effectively filtering the output of the headlights by doing that...

i guess it depends on what he's trying to do. paint the lens, or black out the internal housing.

if he's thinking about painting the lens, then yup, terrible idea

on the other hand if this is reflective housing i can agree the low beam effectiveness is affected. but this is projector housing, i don't see why it's affected (high beam is a different story). bmw headlight housing are blacked out, there is no problem with lighting on them

i would like to see some color matched painted housing, just like corvettes.. that would be pretty cool.
