Default New to me - Matador Red 2007 GS450h

My Silver 2007 GS450h is due for the lease maturity return, and I did not want to keep it because it was in a bad accident.

Had a 2010 GS450h on order at $1,000 over invoice (base model without Navi or ML or any other options for $53K).

Then I come across a Matador Red 2007 GS450h with Navi and ML, and only 23K miles for just $35K on Ebay motors. I live in Virginia, and the car is in Texas. I go ahead and do a deposit on it, and fly down to Dallas to check it out. I wasn't worried because the wholesaler selling the car had a 100% feedback rating with over 1,300 satisfied buyers!

Plan was to have it transported home for $550. Well, the horrible snow storm in the East results in the cancellation of all flights for two days, so I end up driving my new car home over two days. Spent about $150 in gas, so saved $400 overall.

The car drives great and looks great inside and out. The best part: it turns out the car has $4,000 in additional options: APSS (adaptive power stabilizer system) and Pre-collision system with dynamic cruise control!!! I LOVE both of these features. I think I got a fantastic deal.

The car had weird electrical hiccups over the two days I was driving it. Took it to dealer last night -- they fixed it by doing a hard reset / reboot of the computer that involves disconnecting battery for awhile. Fixed all the problems.

Now I just need to dump the crappy run-flats and put the same tires I have on my current GS450h - Bridgestone Potenza RE960As Pole Position. These tires rock!!! Because the car has APSS, there is no room for the spare tire, so I'll have to buy one of those Slime quick tire fix-it kits. From what I've read they work very well to fix the leaks temporarily.

man that is a deal and a half. I am blown away at how much money you can save if you can just get over the new car smell. 18k saving for 23k miles. WOW WHAT A DEAL. ENJOY IT. imo you got an awesome color, awesome mpg, and awesome off the line torque for blasting off the line

Congratulations. That is a ridiculously good deal. Out of curiosity, what was the buy-back price on your end of lease GS?

Nice and very unique color! Were any of the NOVA area dealers motivated sellers? I see Lindsey has a low mile car i was wondering how far they'd drop their price. Or did you fall for the color?
