Default LS430 or GS430 as a daily drive

Any input from GS430 owners would be great. I've started a thread in the LS430 section.

That's 100% personal preference.

I have both, and prefer to drive the GS where there is no reason to choose one over the other (like trunk space, passengers, etc.). I drove the LS today because I pulled it in behind the GS in the driveway last night. Had they been side by side, I would have taken the GS.

NO difference? If you like the extra power, go with the GS. If you like a more luxurious feel, go with the LS

For daily usage as a commuter I would think the added luxury, quieter cabin, and softer suspension would be nicer. I cant say that a GS is a hardcore sports car with an unforgiving suspension. Both will be great no matter what. They are Premium Lexus sedans. No entry level options here

I read your other post. If you really are going to be sitting in traffic the entire time then I would go with the LS430. Its more spacious and probably comfier. But the GS430 is certainly the more enjoyable drive.

If I was buying for traffic as well as weekend driving, then I would suggest the GS. The only LS models I would rather have over my GS460 are the new LS Sport models.

Yeah I'd go with LS as well. The bigger cabin/trunk and more luxurious interior would be nice for the traffic.

IMHO, I think both are about the same. They are both 4 door cars. For long distance trip and sitting in traffic, I think I would choose Van. Lots of room to move around and put a cooler in there to enjoy some cool coke if you want. Van can't do 30mph around the corner but u won't feel the bumps and pot holes as much.

Sorry to go off from your choices but either apple is still an apple.

But if u really want to stick with those choices, does a none moving GS that much different than LS?

Test drive both of them. It is very personal - when I was looking for the car, comparing test drives made GS a clear winner.

i love'em both.. either one can be a great daily driver imo..
LS430 definitely takes a cake if you want quite, comfortable, luxurious (especially if you get custom or ultra), and roomier ride. it's a just car that you want to cruise with and leave it alone..
GS looks a lot more sportier.. i agree, compared side to side, lines of LS seem bland.
like mentioned above, it's really your personal preference.
