I have an '06 GS300 & I couldn't get the moonroof to close for a couple of days. I've had trouble in the past getting it to close, but it only took a couple presses of the button for it to work. This time, it absolutely would NOT close, even after turning the car on/off a couple times. I figured I'd just leave it in the garage & the next time I started the car, it would close... NOPE . Thank god it didn't rain. I finally started pushing the button rapidly a few dozen times & it closed. Very strange. Now I'm hesitant to open the moonroof again...

Anyone else have similar problems?

I haven't heard of this before. I would not open it again. This is going to be a job for the dealership imo. DO NOT OPEN IT!!! leave it alone until you have a tech look at it. Man you're lucky you live in CA. Most of the country is freezing and getting horrible weather

probably the motor for the moonroof is dying and needs to get replaced. i have had this happen to my driver side where the window wouldnt go up and had to get the motor replaced luckily it was still under warranty. just my 2cents

does the roof just not move, or it move, seems like it get stuck, and stop there?

check the rail and make sure nothing is blocking there?

i had a similiar problem when i hit the button and nothing happened. once i pushed it again it closed though.
