Default Has Lexus gotten rid of the rattles in the 2009 or 2010 GS350 ....??

I was wondering if Lexus has solved the rattle problems in the GS models yet? - Anyone have a 2009 or 2010 that would care to comment?

I am thinking of getting my wife a 2011 ES350, but don't wish to deal with the rattle issues that I experienced with my 07 GS350... Too many trips to the dealer!

Maybe better suited for the ES forum???

Or are you thinking about getting your wife a 2011 GS350?

I posted over there about 3 days ago and have not gotten 1 negative response yet, so I was wondering if they have taken care of the GS yet!

You should assume that some of the rattles would still be present because they're impossible to eliminate without a redesign of the interior.

Gawd ! - I would hope not ! --- Cars have had dashboards and windshields for 100 years. - This isn't rocket science, and the GS350 is not all that different from other models that don't have this problem. Like for instance my 99 GS300.

there are about a million ways for things to be attached and put together. if it's really no rocket science, then domestic cars would be rock solid by now already too

and don't even get me started about my 98 gs, it rattled everywhere and a lot of fixes were implemented

i have a feeling that the 09 and 10 gs are getting better, but i doubt it's going to be zero rattles

most of those cars are still too new to experience rattles, mine didn't really appear until after 10k

i've gone back to the dealers about 5 times to get them fixed.. still not fixed yet

sigh

My 99 GS300 was flawless - That was my first Lexus and 'set my expectation. Before that I owned 3 Honda Accords - An 87, 91 and a 95 - None of them had dash rattles or any other rattle. I also owned a 96 Maxima - No rattles there.

When my friend drives his 07 Chevy Pickup and it's dash is quieter than my Lexus GS350, then I'm saying it's not rocket science!

I can see you guys have lowered your expectations about the 'relentless pursuit of Perfection'

Well, he really would have gotten my attention by offering me a refund or fixing my car. - Lip Service is passe. I'm sure the Pres. of Toyota can afford a $50K mistake, I can't

Weren't you the guy that said that his are not fixed yet?

- I'm not here to bash Lexus, my first post was to see if they got the problem fixed before I buy another one. Otherwise, I'll just buy a Honda Accord....

they fixed the dash rattles and one door panel rattle. it's ALMOST perfect

i never lowered my expectation, that's why i have shown my concern on lexus quality since 2006. i owned 98 gs400, 03 is300, 05 sc430, and i have driven a lot of ls430. those were rock solid cars. very very well designed and built. my 98 was first yr production so had issues, but later model years go much better

then we got the 07 ls460l and 08 gs350. i immediately noticed the degrade in quality. i am definitely disappointed, and i have always said lexus needs to pick up their quality control otherwise they are losing customers.

the 2is, 3gs, and 4ls quality get above avg from me but not excellent like previous lexus. i work on a lot of them, i can say all the cars have issues here and there, and none of them are put together the "same". the newer lexus like the new rx in particular, i see that the quality has picked up a bit again, which is a good sign

until 4gs comes out, i won't put much hope in the 3gs. they can do some stuff to fix the noise, but a lot of the problems are designed oriented and it won't make sense for them to change their design midway. i just count on next generation

Bought my 2009GS in Nov right before Thanksgiving. 4200mi so far and no rattles or noises. Having read about it on the forum, Ive been pretty paranoid and been listening carefully. Hopefully it stays that way - love the car either way.

Quick Reply: Has Lexus gotten rid of the rattles in the 2009 or 2010 GS350 ....??
