Default What size tires for 19" rims?

I have the 07 AWD. Currently on the 19" rims are 245/35/19. I'm looking to go with a 40 series tires. The car is not dropped at this moment. All wheel sites recommend the 35 series and I think one site said I can go with 225/40/19. Just wondering if this is correct.
The rims are for daily driving so any recommendation on all season tires? I have Goodyear F1 on there now which is bald after two years of conservative and highway driving. They are very noisy so any other recommendations is appreciated. Trying to stay around the $200 per tire range. Thanks.

225 40 19 and 245 35 19 give you the same height sidewall just about, so I would stick with 245 35, 245 40 may rub in the wheel wells a bit...Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus tires are great, but cost more than your budget

225/40/19 is only less than 1% (0.89%) larger in diameter compares to OEM AWD 17" setup. You will be just fine with it without any rub, especially your car is not dropped.

I also recommand Michelin Pilot Sport A/S but it's a bit pricer than the targeted $200 range.

even if it's larger than stock it's not going to affect anything. as long as all 4 wheels have close overall diameter, the car is not going have any problem. even if say you use 245/40/19

That's almost true except the speedometer reading and actual mileage will be off. The good thing is both are not mechanical issue & usually people try to keep the difference within 3% to OEM.
