i would like to try taking my 06 gs300 to a high speed. so far i've driven it as high as 93-94 mph on the highway. what is the ideal top speed i should attempt on a stock engine and stock tires? will driving this car that fast harm the engine in any way?

also, does anyone know of a track i can access in the dc area? i am willing to go to md or va as long as its within an hour's drive. what should one expect to pay to use such facilities?

I think they are electronically governed to something around 120-130 mph.

94 (150 kph+) mph is enough to have the police take your car and your license on the spot in my city.

the car is designed to go up to 150mph, so nothing wrong. stock form in normal driving condition (specially not in high wind) you can easily go up to 120 and still pretty reasonable. speed above that and you will start to feel the steering wheel get a bit loose

i think (hope) it's at least 140mph. the 2gs could go up to 145 i think. i haven't passed 120 in the 3gs myself. in my gs400 with heavy suspension mods i took it up to 135 and it was still very solid

i read the governed speed on the gs430 is 150 somewhere, but didin't find the same spec for the gs300

Went up to 146 one time and never gonna do it again. If you do decide to try and top out your car I suggest make sure you know the road you're driving on is smooth as possible and not pothole-ridden!

I've gone 146 or so in my GS350. Once only, but from time to time go 100-120. Why? I'm not sure. LOL

Says the 06 430 Is limited to 149Mph i got mine to 150Mph. Mine felt solid but i have Susp Mods.

Im fairly confident the gs can do over 130, i have a es300 and have gone personally to 125 and while you could definitely sense the speed, it was still pretty stable

i drive my car on the highway everyday and i look down everyday catchin myself doing 95+ every single day she just gets away from me. It does not feel like im going that fast at all.

My GS450h can do this easily, everything is stock!

The 460 is limited to 150 apparently. The true limit is a determined by size of *****. Even with my active and passive countermeasures I rarely exceed 100 except for passing.
