My wife has an 07 ES and they are not or were not standard. We looked at several and the ones we test drove had em. She finally picked a car and we started all the paperwork. It was getting dark so I wnet outside while waiting for the contracts to be done and started the car. NO HIDs! They do have the AFS system but not in HID. I was bummed out and told her to pick a different car but she did not like the color combo of any other car on the lot. So, she took that car anyway. The HID system throws a wider and brighter beam of light and is def better than standard bulb projector beams. Still, the light on her car is adequate and better than the VW Passat she had before which had a funky projected euro spec narrow beam.

I assume your HID fogs is an aftermarket kit? I never had any problems with aftermarket HID kits and their bulbs either (in my other cars), which begs the question: is the stock Lexus ballasts extra sensitive?

thats different. the hid conversion kit for the fogs is not like the headlights. the oem fogs are not hid to begin with. I have the hid kit from hidextra for my fogs as well and it works great. if you look at their bulbs though for the headlights, your looking to pay about 100 bucks
