My gs300 Is falling apart!
So a couple months ago the rear window shade got stuck halfway and stopped working (still isn't working). Then I also noticed that the rear window defogger is also not working....
*FIXED*And just now I noticed that the sunroofs auto Close/open controls are not working!
What's going on here?? I don't have any after market wiring of any kind and I dont know why all this stuff has started to fail?

Sounds like your battery is gone (or cables/connectors are damaged). Whenever the battery is disconnected, you cannot control windows from the drivers seat unless you go to each one and move then up and down on the controls on that particular door. Likewise, the sunroof is the same until you open/close it fully by holding down the button.
Try checking the fuses for the rear stuff, as it sounds like it is related to your battery issues.

Thanks! I had recently disconnect the battery, now I have my windows working again. However, I cannot get the sunroof working. I already tried closing and opening several times but with no results so the auto is not working, any ideas?
Oh, and whats the purpose of disabling your windows if you disconnect the battery? is it just so you know there is something wrong with the battery connections?

As for the sunshade, it is a relatively common problem that it gets stuck and needs to be replaced. Costs close to a grand or even more. The defogger sounds like a fuse issue, since that has nothing that can go wrong unless the wires are cut basically.

I barely use it as it doesn't do a lot when the rear is already tinted but if it ever goes on me I am just going to force it down or remove the shade altogether and forget it exists.

I use my rear shade 100% of the time. I think part of why it goes bad, is that while in reverse it automatically rolls down, then back up after you shift out of 1st gear. That causes undue stress on the motor, IMO.

Any moving part will get worn, but also I don't think it's good to drive with that shade up. Put an extra stress on those tiny frame.
