Try a different phone (hopefully you are on GSM). A lot of phones don't seem to be able to transfer phonebooks over bluetooth period, like the iPhone, which I sold after buying the GS. It was the straw that broke the camels back for me with that ridiculous thing.

Try downloading a third-party bluetooth stack from Cydia.

In order to do that though you have to jailbreak your iPhone.

Other members have posted that it can't be done. You could always just enter your top 10 or twenty dialed numbers manually if you don't want to jailbreak.

The good thing about it is you can dial from "contacts" in your phone while driving...
In order to get the contacts into the Lexus you will need to use a phone that is "on their list" of compatible phones for "pushing" the data. Compatible phones search here:

What Bluetooth stack should I download? And will this really transfer my phonebook to my GS?

Could you push the identical contacts from a diff phone (from the Lexus-compatible list) and then still use this contact list w/your iPhone? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask

I have Samsung omnia and even tho it's on the compatible list, it didn't wanna transfer my contact so I had to add it one by one.

Are you selecting "transfer contacts" from your phone?

I recently came to Lexus after driving a BMW and had a hard time getting the phonebook from my VZW Blackberry Tour to the car. BMW had automatically synced up my phone book everytime I got into the car, but with the Lexus I needed to set the car in phone book receive mode (Info button, then Phone, then Phone Book Settings, then transfer phone book). The car would disconnect from my phone, then I would need to go into the phone's bluetooth menu, select the Lexus, then hit the menu key and select transfer contacts. The phone would look like it connects, then disconnect, but after a few minutes it would finish and my contacts would be in the car.

That is how I did mine. Copied contacts to my pc and downloaded on my daughters phone that was compatible and then pushed contacts to the car.
