Ultraviolet is between 12000-30000 on the kelvin scale.

if you think we are crazy about lights.. go check out candle power

super dedicated sites to flashlights... people spent hundreds if not thousands on flashlights and do crazy analysis on light patterns

LOL, you're right, I've checked out that scene out of morbid curiosity. I even got a Fenix P3D with a Cree XR-E LED in it on clearance once, also out of curiosity, and I failed to derive the same kind of pleasure that those guys get out of a flashlight. It's small, light and very bright, but it hardly made me tear up and get stiff.

Yes.. crazy about light... but not having the color temp so high that you can't see it. Like I said.. black light.

I do own one of those hundred $ flash light. And my next project is just to replace my regular H3 bulb flashlight with H3 LED. And than there is the HID flash light project.

my garax 8000K is a nice white with blue hue. in real life, the core is whitish.

the garax 8000K in lowbeams is no where near as blue as the 8000K fogs in this pic. I know cameras always tend to make lights bluer than they are in real life, but what i meant was the garax 8000K would have a white core and bluish halo in pics, kinda like how the lowbeams look in this pic actually.

That's very interesting. Perhaps something's wrong with my projector. All I see is deep blue, not whitish blue like you said (ideally thats what I want). I'll post some pics tonight.

not to mention 50% of the male population are color blind.. LOL

well, 6000k is supposed to be WHITE after warm up with the initial color of purple

and 8000k has always been on the blue side rather than white

this one sums it up nicely

Just installed my 6000k Garax bulbs and they look great! If you like the 8000k, than to roll with them. We should all defer to whlkev on anything regarding lighting,..
