Default HID Replaced, BUT THERES A PROBLEM...

i just replaced the d4s bulb to an 8k. bought it from xenonking.com the brand is McCulloch. everything went in ok and fired up good. but when i drive my passenger side headlight turns off. when i noticed that i went home and try figuring out why it turned off. so i turned the light off then on and it works fine. but sometimes it turns off and its getting to be annoying. can you guys tell me why its doing this? should i switch the bulb to the driver side and take the driver side to the passenger??? is it bc the replacement bulb? need ur opinons guys... thanks

If you do a search you'll find this seems to be a fairly common thing that starts happening when people use some of the less expensive off brand bulbs.

First thing to do is switch bulbs left to right and see if the problem moves with the bulb, or better yet put your old bulbs back in, but chances are the only thing that will fix it is to get different bulbs or stay with your old ones.

swap the bulbs to see if problems still exist and revert findings

been there done that with the changing of sides. It will work and then do the same thing. Its the bulb and the quality of it. Best to scrap them and get a good set of HID bulbs.

i also tend to think it's the bulbs, but do swap to make sure it's not the ballast acting up

Common sense applies here.

I just changed something, and that something no longer works. What could it be? The something! Put it back the way it was.

It would be different if the bulbs had been working fine for months or years. By the way nice stealth edit.

get a diff brand that has been recommended here in the forums. Even though I had never heard of Garax brand before, I got Garax based on this forum. My Garax have been awesome!

You can learn a ton from others' experiences here.

good luck
