Just installed some Garax 6000K HIDs and need to match (best as possible) via plug & play bulbs.
What does YOUR GS look like if you have Sylvania SilverStars or SilverStar Ultras in your high beams or fogs?
There is a lot of info on these bulbs but not many images so PLEASE post 'em if you've got 'em.
THANKS!

I'm using the orig Silverstars as fog and high in my GS but it has the OEM HIDs. Needless to say, the SS are closer than stock halogens but still yellower than HID. Sorry no pix.

I had SS ultras on my other car once but it wasn't even close to 6000k.
IMO all those halogen bulbs (even tho they advertise it's xtreme white, true white, etc) won't look true white like 5000k~6000k HIDs, they will look either yellowish or bluish.

I've heard back things about silverstars burning out really fast.
I only had one experience with them as headlights on one of my cars a long time ago, and one of them burned out within months and I replaced them with el cheapo bulbs that lasted the rest of the car's life. Don't know if they're any better now.
I do want to put something a bit brighter into my fogs and so far I'm not really into the HID kits but who knows what I'll decide. If i do go HID, I'll probably go 3000k.
I thought the consensus on replacing the DRLs is that no matter what you put in there the DRL is going to be yellowish no matter what because of the low power.

I have the ultra in the fog and... well... it doesn't seem much better than the OEM regular bulbs. But I've heard and see the diagram too saying the ultra life is not as long as the regular bulb. I spent $50 trying to improve the intensity of the fog light but didn't do much really.
I think the fog is intended to shin the light to the side mostly so that's why I didn't see much improvement in the front. Anyway, I'm keeping my OEM high beam.

Silverstars won't even look close to stock 4300K HIDs, let alone 6000K. Switching the fogs for HIDs are about the same price and much better in brightness in colors. A pair of Silverstars will set you back around $50, an HID kit for your fogs will set you back about $60.
