Default lexus buy back for '09's

Im currently leasing an '09 GS350, im only in my 9th month with the car however I already have 19,000+ miles. I get a call from my sales rep asking me if im interested in trading my car in for an '10 GS350, same payment, same everything. Apparently they are doing this to get more service vehicles?? and this promo is only good for the GS and the GX series.

Have you guys been contacted?

I don't know the full story as my wife was the one that talked to my rep and I'll meet with them on monday to find out more.

That sound like a good deal. You just got a new release all over. 36 months lease???

But do they extend the end date? I.e. by taking the deal are you signing up for an additional 12 months on the end? If so I would decline because this car is long in the tooth.

I got their offer in the mail. This will be a new lease, but after they find out you have 19K miles on your ride, the offer most likely will get adjusted a bit. Then again - Toyota seems to be desperate for sales, especially with whole gas pedal fiasco. So you may get a good deal after all.

Here's what happened.

My dealership needed 10 2009 GS's & GX's as certified pre-owned each. So the dealership instructed all their sales rep to call the people on their list. I went in last friday, told me they'll buy my car back no problem. I drove off in a 2010 black GS350, new nav, same payment..however, I realized it's only a 4 year lease instead of my original 5 on my '09. What boggles my mind is that the balloon payment at the end is only $2,000 more than the old one This is a way better deal that I could've imagined. I love it!

Any reason the dealer only wanted 09 models?

4-5 year lease? How much more would you have to pay if you just bought it?
