What is a good deal on this?
2007 GS350
82,000 miles
RWD
Chrome factory wheels
Navigation
NON ML
Are there some options I am leaving out
good condition
What would you consider a good deal or a steal?
Also, any ideas what the car would be worth in 3 more years and with 120,000 miles?

gs350
I think you are exaggerating with $10,000 in 3 years. Why do you say pass on the car? If it is a good deal and away to get into an 07 gs350 for not a lot of money, why not?

First of all, I think if the car is in great shape, 20k would be an awesome deal. I doubt it is that inexpensive. If you like the car, go for it, make sure you get it checked out or check it yoursself. You are out of all warranty at this point and eveything is costly. In 3 years, if there is a new GS out, that thing may be worth around 10-14k, just look at an 04 gs with 120K miles, and you ll get the idea. That is still not bad, you probably end up depreciating 3-4K a year and that is way less than what a new one depriciates so you are good. You also save big on registration and what not since it is older.

get the VIN. Check it w/ CarFax. You should also be able to speak w/your local Lexus dealer for info on previous service. That price is not bad IF the car looks good and checks out. It would have (mostly) highway miles to be at 82k. You could estimate that the car was on the road for 50-70 miles per day, depending on when it was originally purchased.
You might get more than $10k in three yrs. People are recognizing that our cars can still be reliable well over 120k miles.
Good luck!

Edmunds.com shows it would be $20-23K, but that just seems completely insane to me. I just bought a pristine 2007 GS450h with 24K miles and loaded to the gills with options (ML, NAVI, adaptive cruise control, APSSS system, and all the stuff that comes standard on the 450h that does not come on the 350). I paid $35K for it.
It simply would not make sense to me that a car with 82K miles that is long out of warranty would sell for more than $15,000. And even with that, I probably would not take the risk on such a high-mileage car.

I presume you were responding to my post, and that you meant to say "to lose". The answer is, no. If you read my post again, you will see that I was referencing a much more expensive car. The GS450h new configured the way I have it was almost $20,000 more expensive than the 350 configured with just the Navi. I figure that initial difference is worth at least $10K today.
