Default Rear Diffusers? Mudgaurds? WhatChaCallIt's?

Just had tires put on my 06 GS300 and notice I'm missing the plastic piece that goes in front of the rear tire. It looks like the above mentioned. What is it really called so I can try to get it replaced. Thanks.

My local dealer-35 miles away- has to order it and costs $20. I told him that fasteners were needed as well, he has one of the 2 needed (simply called a 'Clip') for $6. Failed to get the name of the expensive little plastic piece.

Are you talking about fender liners?

?. The roughly 6x2 inch plastic pieces that hang down from the body directly in front of the rear tires. They have tabs that are in the wheel well.

To tell you the truth I've never noticed if anything like that is there or not on mine.

I'm beginning to feel that it's not needed on mine anymore. Probably going to be over $30 for something that doesn't appear to do anything. Think I'll just take the other sides off and be done with it.

I noticed them on the front side of my front wheels but never really noticed them at the back.

I did reverse over a curb a bit once and I think they saved my bumper, for what it's worth, in terms of what they might be for.

no, i believe for the rear wheels, they are also "in front" (so basically at the far end of the side skirt).

Took the driver side "Expensive Little Plastic Piece" off. The ELPP, as I shall call it, has 'Toyota', 'GS' over 'LH', and '57498-30050'. I googled the #'s and got nothing. Apparently, the ELPP is a very hard to find part that can only be ordered. Definitely not needed on my car!

I checked, they are on all four wheels of my car and on the front side of all four.

Perhaps they are there to catch pedestrians you run over, so that you can't get away with a clean hit and run.

So they're really ELPPPC's, Expensive Little Plastic Piece Pedestrian Catcher. I'll ask for those when I call Lexus again!

i think they are designed to come off after running over a body. so when you get a 2nd set, you might need to fill out paperwork explaining how they came off
