I doubt it will affect cars made before 2010.

i thought lexus is using 50/50 blend, or some other ratio i can't remember.
i forget where i read this, but i remember it was trustable sources.
it says the new lexus engine 350 engines has a very unique fitting angle, and performance is maximized only with blend. fully synthetic will be too thick for engine, and reguar will be too thin...
something like that...

may I ask how’s catsrol gtx treating you so far? I changed mine yesterday with the high milage and wondering if it’s good stuff ? I just bought my car and can’t make up my mind yet which good oil for my 08 gs 350 with 113mi ? Any feedback would be appreciated!
B4 my 06 GS300 I drove a 07 530i and service was all included for 4 years. every time I changed the oil (synthetic of course) and computer was re-set by dealer, computer said I have 15,000 until next oil change. One year I only put 10,000 miles on the car and dealer said bring it in and we will do a courtesy oil change, because oil is a year old, but he did not reset the computer and he told me bring it back in 5k miles and we will do another one. Go figure...I will change mine twice a year regardless of mileage and will use GTX synthetic.

i have been doing 7,000 miles on full synthetic. I use Toyota OEM filter. I am pretty sure this car would be food with the same 10k mile oil change, but I feel better about 7k mile being a good compromise between Dino 5k mile, and synthetic rated for much higher.
I do oil analysis in my Porsche and the oil is always in very good condition. The Lexus does not get driven 1/8 as fun as the Porsche.
