If you use the over ride kit, can you use your screen to dial a phone # while driving? I do not have the ML or nav but do have the premium radio which includes the touchscreen for bluetooth phone, climate, radio , trip info etc. Since I am under CPO warranty, I am fearful of cutting wires.
yup, you will be able to use the keypad when driving. can also access phone book and of course all the destination and poi info

basically a plug and play kit (no wire cutting) to bypass navigation when driving. if you have ml (or ipod video integration), you can watch video when the car is moving as well.
there will be two led buttons to press to override the system, i actually like the buttons coz' they don't look very "aftermarket"
