I noticed to day when my car was idling that the motor was making a squeaking and rattling noise. It sounds almost like I have crickets under the hood. When I touch the accelerator the sound goes away. Its only making noise when sitting at idle. I opened the hood and it sound like a squeaky belt pulley. Has anyone had this issue??? Any clues??????

Didn't you just take the car to the dealer to get this fixe or was that a different issue

I started the car up and the car was totally fine. I spent a couple of hours in the car taking pics and she was fine. I will keep my ears open.

I did manage to take some nice pics.

i got the same issue. if the cars cold or if i make a slow turn the noise does get louder. I think its the idle pulley but im not sure

My XRS used to do this but mostly when it wasn't warmed up. It's probably the belt tensioner.

I think its a squeaky pulley as well. When I opened the hood it seemed obvious but hasnt reared its head since then. fingers crossed
