Default Philips HID kit

I was going to buy the Xtreme Digital kit from Steve, but then I noticed that you can buy a Philips kit for just a little more.

Not sure if this one is genuine but the seller feedback looks strong

This is definitely genuine

Any thoughts on what I should go for? It will be for a lowbeam upgrade on our infiniti.

I assume you're looking for a HID conversion kit for the fog lights? The ebay one looks legit but again you just have to make the call until you actually receive the kit. I would go for it and give a try.

Hey batman
I actually found a set on the classifieds. If you get a genuine philips kit, even if it is a couple years old, they last forever. Rock solid and dependible. I was looking for a set for the wife's GX470 and finally found a set.

It's hard to find a genuine Philips kit. One's which seem legit are over $300.

I think I will buy Steve's higher end Xtreme Digital kit. I am a bit wary of the 1 year warranty though. Have people had good experiences with the Xtreme Digital kit?

Does Philips do a HID Fog kit for our GS? If yes, where can I find a set? Thanks.

Hi batman,

It's very easy to advertise a warranty. Don't fall for low cost/poor quality HID kits with gimmick warranties ie: 3 year, 5 year, lifetime, etc.. Remember! A warranty is only good as long as the merchant you purchase your HID kit from stays in business. It is one thing to advertise a warranty; however, very few stand behind their products like we have been doing since 2001.

I understand your point Steve. In the end for me Philips epitomizes the best quality - everyone tries to compare to Philips. But their expensive and hard to find genuine ones.

Of the remainder 2 companies seemed credible to me - ie forum members on multiple forums rave about service: XenonDepot an RetroSolutions. RS has lifetime warranty and people seem to say it's real. However what is don't like about RS is that they sell overrated 55w kits and their stuff is all Chinese.

I chose XenonDepot because you were very helpful to me, I prefer 6500K to 6000K and, and because your products are Japanese and built to very high specifications. I was less certain about the Chinese kits. At the end of the day even though your service is great, what is more important to me I that I don't have to call for service. My sense is your product is built to the highest standards short of buying an actual Philips kits. I wanted best within 200 dollar budget and that is XD XtremeDigital.
