Here is one of the easiest thing you can do to make your GS stand out, convert turn signal into parking light too!!!

This is what you will need to do this mod:
- one pair of 7443;
- 1.5 ft x 2 of 18 or 20 gauge wire;
- 3 ft of solder wires or cloth hanger; I used solder b/c is soft and flexiable it would not scratch the headlight housing;
- sharp knife;
- drill;
- electric tape.


If anyone is interested, I will write up a step by step instruction.


FYI, currently I am dealing with one of the LED maker, to see if they are willing to custom make 4500k~5000k LED bulb to match our Lexus. So for now, I am back with OEM yellow bulbs...

No, you do not loose the turn signal function.

The bulb we used for our turn signal is 7440, only has one filament.
7443 has two filaments, thus one for turn signal (21watt) and other for parking light (5watt). So even when you have the parking light on, and turn signal will out shine the parking light.


Yes, same concept and procedure. Just be sure to get the bulb that has two filaments if you want it to function as parking light also.

My friend is using thes leds http://autolumination.com/switchback.html so it's white when parking light is on and flashes amber when signaling.

Nice. The website has the following note:

"Note: Load Equalizers or a special flasher may have to be added to restore a normal blinker rate if switching a turn signal bulb to an led."

Did he have an issue with this?
