interesting. did you hit speed limiter? i haven't hit speed limiter in the 3gs, but did on the 2gs and i never had cel (check engine light) coming on
Not sure, what is the 3GS limited to? I went max high 140's but nothing pass it yet. It's just weird that the amber engine light came on but not the red one.

did help. I was able to drive comfortably at up to 65 mph
on the way to work. To me, this is the most stylish car
I have ever owned and I would have been heartbroken
if they could not make it handle better. Now, if only
it was as easy to drive as my wifes ES 350.

Why does the amber engine light come on and when you push the car hard like slamming on the gas at 110 and when it reaches around 140 it turns on but when you slow down or let go off the gas it turns off..?
The answer is it shouldn't do that... it's especially odd that it comes on and then goes off immediately. Where in Ontario are you? I'm in downtown Toronto, if it's convenient for you you can bring your car by here and I can use my code scanner on it to see if there is anything stored.
Hazard a guess at a vacuum leak.... when you floor it, it creates a lot more vacuum and you might have a hose or gasket loose that the car temporarily detects. After enough cycles of it happening, it might turn from a pending code into a MIL.
