Default 2006 GS 300 Third Generation inquiry

I am looking at a 2006 GS 300 with 50k miles for $23,000?
Only been one owner and no issues in the history.
Is this a fair price?

Also would an extended warranty be necessary?

check if the proper maintenance has been done and test drive it.

cant recommend you anything on an extended warranty. never got one and honestly dont think you need one

Tell us more...does it have NAV and ML? What's the overall condition look like? What kind of tires and how much tread on them?

Nav but no ML
Test drove today and in good condition.
Tires look good and front brakes are new.
Waiting to get more info on rear brakes.

Current powertrain warranty goes until 70k miles.

WHen was it first sold, are you still in the 4/50 bumper to bumper warranty ? Is it 49,xxx or 50,xxx ...it would be very nice to have a few miles for the stupid little things like side mirrors, rattling rearview mirror, dash rattles, sunscreen, parking sensors, possible a/c drain valve being faulty....etc etc. Price seems to be fair. I would recommend getting an extended warranty, you can give merkury insurance and get a quote on their extended policies, Mine was only like 800 bucks for a 7/100 $50 deductible warranty.

Only the powertrain warranty remains up to 70k miles.

Dealer is quoting $3200 for an additional 50k miles which sounds steep.

It is steep. Call Merkury insurance. By the way, for that price I would look for a CPO car at Lexus. You should be able to find a Nav / ML car that is CPO for about 24-26 so you would be getting ML for free in essense.

Also got 4.65 percent interest 60 months through Lexus. This low interest deal has to be factored in also.

Mine was listed for 30,681.00. Got a much better deal. Of course,
my wife and I purchased two cars and my brother in law purchased
one also.

The lease on my my 2006 GS300 ends on August 2010 and the payoff is only $18,000. I'm seriously considering buying it, speciually since it has the rims, coilovers, and system. Was looking into some 2007 GS350s but they're going for loke $28K-$32k. I amy just keep it
