I know it's the tire rack consultant who explained this to you, but when these scores come from user reviews, why can't you cross compare them?

On another note, it was interesting analyzing Tire Rack's official tests. For example, they would give high performance tires better subjective ratings for real world driving dynamics, but then on the track, slalom, and braking tests, you would find that very often the grand touring or poorer subjective high performance tires (DWS) would return very close results. The Turanza for example had a better dry stopping distance than the Pilot A/S and a better wet stopping distance than the RE960's. The DWS did the lap and slalom pretty identical to the Pilot's. However in their real world subjective score, the DWS was significantly behind on handling which was is also supported by the user reviews.

User reviews are not perfect. Difference driving style, difference road condition, and many more. While the official reviews, they try to keep these at a constant or a fair comparison.

Anyway, they rate DWS as good so I will try it out. If it's not good for me, my next tire won't be DWS. Also when looking at reviews, I look at the type of car and location of the review. Preferably in my area. I count BMW as closer to my car too cause mine is a GS. It's not exactly a 4 door family sedan like a Camry.
