hey i live in west miramar and im slammed and i roll around on 235 30 20 in my fronts, its been about 6-7 months and no bends, flats or anything of the sort.... and i ride smoothed....... also i had them flipped about a month ago and still rides like the first day i got the tires.

I'm not going to remove the wheel liner , I'm going to remove the black plastic on the edge of the fender. I'm praying those few mm's will do me good ! I hear ya my fellow South Floridian but I need tp play conservative when i have a wife that drives the car once in awhile !

whoever told you that setup won't rub, to be honest, i don't think that's good advise. 9+38 is relatively marginal for the front, and 10.5 +45 (effectively 10 +39) is marginally aggressive.

it then comes down to what kind of tires you use to see if you will rub. but in your case it's rubbing a little

are you rubbing front or rear? if it's the rear, taking out the black plastic trim should be good.

i don't know what you mean by removing the wheel liner, you probably don't want to remove the whole thing, exposing everything inside. plus it seems like you are rubbing the edge of the fender now.

if you are rubbing in the front, check to see if you are rubbing the two tabs (10 oclock and 2 oclock position). if so, read my diy guide and see how to deal with them

THX Romini ! I read the thread you posted and that's where I got the idea to remove the black plastic trim. The Front and Rear Rubs but only when I hit bumps in the road or dips ( like my driveway ). I've experienced this rubbing while riding by myself so I can imagine whats going to happen when my wife and son take a ride with me ! So I would only remove the black plastic from the rear ? I did see the tabs u were referring to so I will see if i can mess with those also !

245/35/20 is way out of spec. Its that simple. Return the 245/35 and get 2 245/30/20's and BOOM>>>>problem solved. I am running 245/30 in the front and 275/30 in the rear and I am actually running fat *** Michellins. I have been running a 245/30 for two and a half years with no issues.

I'm not sure that changing to a 245/30 in the front solves my problem . You may not be rubbing but your Wheels could be a different offset , Mine are also wider in the Rear , and the drop is different. Who knows !!!!! This tire and wheel stuff is CRAZY but I like it !!!!!! Hey I noticed some GS's have a black piece on the bottom of there rear bumper ...I think they call it a diffuser ? did only certain year GS's come with it ?

you are correct. without knowing more about the wheels and offsets and blame it on tires, that's not the right approach. tires could be a problem, but when it comes to wheels and fitment there are a lot of things to look out for

what do you mean black piece on the bottom of rear bumper? you mean in the back? 06-07 has different rear bumper than 08+

well, definitely start by taking off the rear plastic trim and see if that helps.

another way to test out rear rubbing, you open up the trunk and have someone stand or bunch on it hard, this will highly compress the rear wheel, you can see if you can see exactly where it rubs (if taking off the plastic trim isn't enough). but with your offset i am hoping taking off the trim piece is enough

Thx again ! I'm going to remove the black trim this weekend ! I noticed some of the rear bumpers on the GS are black on the bottom center to give it a sportier look ...I might just be going crazy !

if your hitting the fender the tires will be shredding if there are no cuts in the tire its just plastic take a heat gun and rfazor knife and get to molding and cutting and a 35 series tire isn t going to give you that much more than a 30 series i drive my car all through washington dc and baltimore and haven t had any issues with my 30 series on the front and 25 on the rear good luck

it does actually make a different. a 245/35 is approx 1/2" taller than a 245/30. when it comes to rubbing, a 1/2" difference can make a world of difference.

yup, 1/2" more on the sidewall, that's quite a bit more protection. ride comfort wise, it helps but i won't say it's dramatic. tire brand and model probably makes more difference

if you bend a rim with a 30 series 9 chances out of 10 is would have bent with a 35 best thing to do is insure your wheels especially if they were expensive
