Hey guys I need help. I have a 06 gs300 and i get this creak noise when i turn into a driveway or a bumpy turn. The noise comes from the driver speaker area near the windshield. I have already had the tsb for dash creak fix with the new clips.I dont remember this noise before I had the tsb done. I have had this car in lexus of austin 4-5 times for this issue. Sometimes i get the noise pretty loud and sometimes I can barely hear it.. I notice lately it comes when its colder and rainny days. The lexus specialist keeps telling me its from the cowl.He insulated the cowl and the noise with go down 50% but not comepletly gone. Then it comes back in a few weeks. I am thinking it could be the cowl cover which goes over the wipers but not sure.I have it there again as I type and I wanted to know if any of you guys ever had this fix? and what causes it? Here is a video i uploaded for you guys to check out.

I have a similar sound coming from the rear. It sounds like suspension but mine gets louder when the car is warmed up. Taking it in next week to check it out. Hope you figure it out.

I assuming the stock ones. I just got the car. It was a CPO with 24000. I think I found the noise. Its coming from the front seat. whenever I rock back and forth it makes a creaking noise. I think a huge guy had the car before me and messed up the seat. The dealership is gonna look at it next week.

My car also has a similar creak going up my drive way, but not near as bad. As for the chair creak, it comes from the 2 plastic accent pieces located right behind your shoulder blades. When you rock back it makes noises. You can try to lube it, or put leather cleaner around it soften the noise. But you actually have to take off da rear seat panel and tighten it. i think there was a thread on this. hope this helps

My wife's Pathfinder makes the same sound, it might be coming from your seat belt. Try moving around in your seat a lot and to put stress on that seat belts. I can pretty much duplicate that same sound in my wife's car every time now even at stop lights.

It irritates me that me 50k Lexus squeaks and rattles more than my 2003 35k Infiniti. I had and still have dash rattles, console squeaks, buzzing from the passenger door, and my chair creaks (leather). WTF Lexus....WTF

let me give you a little bit of input on the situation. i know this is going to sound ghetto as hell but i ran out of warrantee so i was screwed. My dash creaked too and it was so annoying i almost drove my car into a wall purposely. what i did to get rid of the dash creaking was to put socks in between the dash and the windshield and stuff them in there with a flat head. ghetto yes. worked HELL YES. no more rattles for me!!

This is what i found.. NAVYDOC333 wrote
hope that helps cuz it helped me from killing myself when driving lol
I posted this on another thread about noises. I figured that anyone who's had success isolating and eliminating a noise could post here ...so we can use are combined blood/sweat/tears to figure these noise issues out.
I feel like I can only go to the dealer so many times before I get labled a LOON. And often when I do take it in, my car's not making the noise, or the route they drive it on isn't bumpy enough to reproduce it. Anyway...I've found doing it myself is more rewarding and often more effective.
Here's my original post... sorry if you've already read it on another thread.
Hey Guys... well mine is finally quiet as a church mouse...here's what I did.
Had Window Clips cut (decreased noise from upper dash 50%)
Had TSB for Ventilation Cowl done (decreased noises from upper dash 100%)
Creaking from door panel whenever I'd rest my arm on it... pulled rear upper door panel back (there is a single clip back there...if you try this be careful, it could break) Took a piece of cloth and put it over the clip and pushed door panel back on. Silent.
squeeking/rubbing noise coming from inside of driver seat. Pulled back of seat off... localized the noise to a spring that was rubbing against the foam seat... put a piece of felt tape around the spring coil. Silent.
Had a faint clicking coming from what sounded like the B-pillar right by ear. Pressed on the window and it would go away. Rolled down the window, and put silicone grease along the rubber window seals. Silent.
Still had 'clicking/creaking' over bumps from Nav Headunit... took it out last night. Put a piece of 2mm thick black dense foam paper (bought at wallmart in the arts/crafts department) up both sides of the unit...and along the top (in between the AC Vents and the unit). Squeezed it back into it's place.
Drove it last night and back and forth to work today. Not one click/squeek/rub/rattle or burp, ... none... NOTHING! Amazing. Now this is what a Lexus is supposed to sound like.... quiet.
Keep posting about your problems...and any solutions. I've used quiet a few of you all's ideas to isolate and fix things. Thanks!
