Vibration ??? 20 Inch Wheels 60 -65 mph
Ok I had 20 inch wheels & tires installed about a week ago . On the way home I noticed vibration at about 60 - 65 mph. First clue the balancing was off ! I took the car back and watched them balance all the tires ...each said OK but they didn't install hub rings the first time so I thought that was the problem. On my way home again I still get the vibration ! I feel it mostly in the gas pedal and seat. Can anybody shed some light ? The balancing is done on some new crazy machine with a laser that apparently cost $15,000.00 so I don't think it's the machine that's off .

Its most likely the balance. If they are new then they are not dented. You could have a bad tire but the highest odds is a lazy tech balancing the tires. What brand of tires are you using?

Nankang is the brand ..it's an off brand but heard good things about it from friends. Does it matter if the tech is lazy ??? Doesn't the machine do all the work ? It looked like all the tech did was put it on the machine and read the screen .....?

Since the vibration is at speed... like others have mentioned, it is either something to do with the balancing on one or more of the wheels being wrong, a defect making one or more of the tires be "out of round", or the wheels not being hub centric (and were not installed on the exact center of each hub, or have shifted) making the wheel turn in a slight elliptical orbit instead of spinning on it's axis.
