dvd newb question - 06gs -ml sound-dvd nav. no picture on screen

Default dvd newb question - 06gs -ml sound-dvd nav. no picture on screen
I popped in a couple dvds when I was parked and when I press "audio" on the dash the "picture" button is greyed out, I get my sound 100% but no picture.

Am I doing something wrong here? car is in park not driving.

i believe you need to engage the parking brake as well

ya it works with the parking brake. is there any way to do it via software and no wire hacking. or basically I have to do the wirehack.
