BRAKES LOUD - it is the shims not the pads
For those of you that got the dustless pad TSB in 2008 and you are experiencing the extremely loud brake noise.....loud like you can hear is clear down the block loud.....it appears that the TSB was AMENDED or UPDATED in Feb 2009 with an add on to the work that should be done to include the replacement of the SHIMS in addition to the pads........the SHIMS are the things that are vibrating and that is what is creating the loud noise....not the pads.
The dealers have overlooked this update to the work order. In other words they will tell you that the work was done with the updated pads and there is nothing they can do......they don't realize that if the work was done BEFORE the Feb 2009 update, then you wouldn't have gotten the SHIMS done......that is the reason why you would have the loud noise...I think the pads are fine
FYI

I had the recall done on the brakes and also developed out of control brake noise. I had them look at it 3 more times after before demanding that they actually change something this time as opposed to just "checking and cleaning" the brakes. They replaced them a second time and so fa so good

Yeah,
I have been back 3 times as well.......they kept saying that they couldn't replicate the problem and then sprayed brake cleaner. Unless they can replicate the problem, they can't do anything.
I finally said that I'm going to take the service tech for a ride and try to replicate it for him. I couldn't get it to squeak the entire ride. Then.....
they spent more time looking at the paperwork on the TSB. And then they noticed that the TSB was amended in Feb 2009 after I had my dustless pad got put on. I had my dustless pads changed in late 2008......they said that that is probably the problem.
I haven't gotten them done yet but I'll let you guys know if this addresses the issue.

Yes...Maybe...No...
Reason I said that is because, the noise would only go away for couple weeks, then I am back at the dealer for another set of shims... I believed I am on my 3rd or 5th set already in the past 10 months...

GS2006.
it is both, at high speeds coming to a stop on a freeway, say
as well inch by inch in traffic.
it is fairly unpredictable but I'd say usually it is when you have somewhat dirty brakes combined with either cold or really hot brakes.....but not so much in between

WTF, I am so sick of this...
While they were replacing the bushings on my F-SPORT sway bars, they also replaced the shims on my toy... Guess what the freaking brake noise has came back to hunt me again!!!

The replacement of my brakes under warranty worked very well. No noise so far, but its unacceptable to get brake noise on a car like this .....ever. ( My g35s, Acura TL, and even my 86 civic never made a peep of noise. My 50k Lexus would squeal like a stuck pig.
