Wow. The interior looks great. But the body is a different story. It looks like maybe the passenger doors and the trunk are the only panels that are salvageable. I'm not sure what it's going to cost but it's probably going to hurt pretty bad

If you are going to supply the majority of the labor yourself and you have access to buying used parts this could be a good project, would would save you some bank.

If you plan on outsourcing this I wouldn't say it's worth it.

If you have the knowhow to piece a car out this may be worth just to sell the parts away.

to get it done professional looks like an excess of $10k, better off buying a used gs300 for low 20's.

Interior looks really good. Engine looks like it's probably fine too. The entire left side looks like it's going to need to be replaced. The biggest problem I can see is there could be some structural damage on the right side (radiator support, apron, etc.). And that headlamp is going to cost you.

If you had a body shop do the work it could get really pricey. Honestly, you could probably shop around and find a used GS300 for the same price it would cost to have a body shop fix this one.

I am an insurance adjuster but this is just a personal opinion - don't hold me to anything.

I got into a front end collision myself ( very sad day for me). My GS350 suffered frontal damage hood, grill, bumper, fenders, and frame. I took it to a friend of the family's to repair(I will never do that again). Insurance company paid and the body shop estimated cost of 10k for parts and 5k for labor with 2k deductible. So I agree it will be about 10k.

Good idea. If it was just the front damage I would say jump all over it, but with the whole side being taken out, you're better off passing.

Buy a used GS and then buy that thing for parts and keep it on your front lawn white trash style. I'm sure it would cost more to fix than it's worth (properly) but for sure there are way more than 5K worth of parts in that baby.

Even if you were to just disassemble it as one of the people on this board needed parts you'd have it paid for in no time.

I have done quite a few builders, and I would say PASS on this one. There is too much damage all around, especially on the front! Would be looking at much $$$$ to fix all the damage.

$5,500 is cheap. If it's just cosmetic, go for it. You say it drives fine (smooth, no creaks). Just slap on a new bumper and fender (body kit perhaps). Pick up a headlamp from ebay and you're good to go. You might have to bang out some of the fender supports for everything to fit right again, but it doesn't have to be like new, just needs to look that way. Structural integrity doesn't seem be be sacrificed that much. In the end, you'll be getting a late model mid-end Lexus for less than the price of a Hyundai.

If its safe from a structural standpoint and you don't mind leaving some panels as-is/forcing them back to original shape, then it would be worth it to just replace the front bumper and the passenger side fender. Sure there would be signs of a crash, but you are getting it for a bargain and can drive it into the ground.
