Westside Lexus in Houston have a big theater room with a very nice big screen tv. Free soda machine with many flavors. Espresso machine, hot tea maker and etc. Lexus provide a large business area with wifi and cell phone chargers. Free rent car with no toll road charges.
On one visit, I fell asleep in the theater room as if I didn't want to go home or something.
I am here to tell you. Lexus service is top notch.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
....but even if I own a bank, I don't feel right by paying $600 for check ups. Every time when we check our Lexus-in for service, they are going to stick it to us. It is not the same anymore.
I think KY is better than Vaseline though.

I just did tire rotation, Brake fluid exchange (pumping method), front rotors resurfaced, front pads changed (centric ceramic pads), oil change (regular Penzoil 5-30), and Penzoil oil filter for $300...no car wash, at local Brake Master shop in S. Cal.

Brake fluid is hydroscopic, absorbs moisture over time, which results in it being less effective. Now while that may not seem to be a problem most of the time, when the brakes are hot, and you r-e-a-l-l-y need some stopping power, it may not be there to its full effect! Also I believe it absorbs rubber and brake dust (minute amounts) over time. You can usually see a darkening of the color of brake fluid over time.
I've always changed my brake fluid at 30K on all my vehicles and never had a brake system problem (other than normal pad/rotor replacement). Of the basic services, this is probably the most important safety related service one would want, assuming one wants the best out of their braking system! There are plenty of good brake shops that will do a basic pressure brake fluid replacement for $50-$100, and it's not terribly difficult to do it yourself, if you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Just be careful with used and new brake fluid. It will eat away the paint on your car in no time!
