Some of this stuff seem to be so easy to do, but to pay $614? I just don't feel right about it. Please take a look at this invoice. What do you think? Can you do most of this stuff like changing fluid? Does everyone still pay this kind of money for general maintenance?![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Any input would be appreciated.

its steep but I say go to another dealership. I am not a mechanic so I dont do DIY. I prefer to take it to a guy who knows how to do it, and knows how to do it accurately and efficiently.

Clean Throttle Body & add decarb treatment to fuel...2PT decarb kit for $25.50
Does the dealership actually perform this step and isn't it the same thing as https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...afoam-diy.html

I have the know how and/or patience to do half of the stuff on that list. Oil change, filters, rotations, blades and such are all pretty easy DIY's. I would say ask the service manager if he'd be willing to let you supply the parts and if so negotiate a better labor quote, like half off.

I'm also coming up on the 30k maintenance. I bought the oil filter from a Toyota dealer for over $3.00 less than the Lexus dealer. I bought the cabin and air filters from Auto Zone, with ALL THREE filters costing less than the cabin filter alone from Lexus. The air and cabin filter changes are extremely easy. If you're not into DIY, contact a Toyota dealer for the remaining maintenance, which basically consists of changing the brake fluid. The rest is eyewash and pure profit.

We are very fortunate to own a Lexus, but I personally don't own a banking business. $614 for just a check-up to change the fluids and wiper blades is just being too greedy for me. It is time for me to learn basic maintenance because I don't feel so good about getting ripped-off like this. The dealerships now days are just plain bold and they push their luck to the limit.

I see you are in TX. Can you share which dealership?
