I did 19's with NF210's and I think it looks clean. I didn't want to have to mess with rolling fenders and a stiffer ride. The ride with 19s and NF210s is far different from stock.

Beautiful ride. What size wheels and Tires are you running? Did you have to do any fender mods? I agree I really like the 20 set up looks great. Thanks.

Another tire with quiet and comfy ride is the Bridgestone 960AS, the second most quiet and comfy tire I have ever owned. Get one of these and 20's will ride just as smooth as the 19's.

Asanti is Bling Bling. I've never been a fan. If your looking for show then sure but they seem to be heavier then stock wheels and I don't want that. I want performance and style.

I can tell you this... I had stock 18 wheels on 245/40/18 Dunlop A/S Runflats. The ride quality on 255/30/20 Toyo Tires is BETTER than the stock 18's.

Buy the right tire, get the size wheel you want and call it a day.

Don't use 20 vs 19 as an excuse when it comes to ride comfort. You're buying aftermarket wheels.

Don't forget you MUST drop the car atleast 1.5 inches as to not look goofy. That will reduce ride quality.

I find it interesting everyone focuses on the wheel size and not the tire size. I think 45s are ideal tires for a sports sedan which is what the Porsche Panamera and the G37 ride on. I am certainly switching to 45s on my 18 inch wheels when my current tires are replaced.
I find it interesting that you focus on a specific (45) sidewall number. a "45" sidewall can equate to many different heights. Even in the case of the panamera and g37 sedan, their tire sidewalls are different heights.

Could you elaborate a little on your reasoning?

Not trying to call you out, just curious of your logic.

My oem CX-9 cmoes with 20 inch wheels and 50 series tires. The ride is stiff but acceptable. I have 19 inch on my GS350 but with 35 and 30 series tires, front and back. Not too bad (riding quality) for such thin sidewall. My point is that 20 inch looks better but can you put 45 or 50 series tires on the GS to get a decent ride quality?

245/35/20 tires are 1" out of spec (26.8"). If you're concerned about rubbing...might have to drop it down to 30 series if you get 20" wheels. 245/30/20 (25.8") is the same size as spec.
