Default Does gasoline eat away at paint?

i was filling up and the pump didn't automatically stop so gas gushed out and got all over the side of my car. it's not a large area, just the space between the bottom of the gas flap down to the wheel. i wiped it off as quickly as possible but it was still sitting on the paint as i searched for something to clean it off with. the paint surface was covered tho, not just a few drops of gasoline. do i have anything to worry about?

it does eat away at paint if you leave it sit there. if you clean it off, you wont have a problem.

should be fine. It will evaporate pretty quickly. Just make sure if it happens to wipe it up quickly. We have all done this once or twice before.
