Another thought: Cop lectured me once: Cessna airplanes take off at 60 m.p.h., and only thing your car is holding onto the road with is those 4 tiny footprints of rubber tire... so with your family of 5, DO NOT SKIMP ON TIRES... get the best.

I have the Continental ExtremeContact DWS on my 06 GS300 RWD. Very quiet, durability is great, and traction is perfect. My rear tires would always slide out on corners and kick on the traction control even at low speeds. The Conti's solved that problem. And they handled the snow and ice over the winter great. I could actually drive my car to work, which was impossible with the stock tires.
One of the cool features is they have DWS imprinted in the tread. As the letters wear off they are considered inadequate for that driving condition. I've had mine since October and the traction is still great, even with the horrible Oklahoma roads.
I would highly recommend them.

So did the cop recommend airplane tires as part of his lecture?
