Got it!
In a big change of plans, I ended up getting a Black/Tan 2007 GS 450 Hybrid with 35,000 miles. Was totally unexpected. This thing is loaded - NAV, Mark Levinson, the works. We got back, did the deal and I drove it home. They are putting in the Nano tint and the XM tuner next week.
Once I drove this thing - holy crap. Had to have it. The power is incredible, it is silent, and it rides very well and it actually looks pretty good for a 2007.
Yeah, I know, the trunk is much smaller bc of the battery, but hell, I didn't care. It fits golf clubs no problem. It also has the world's worst tires (Turanza EL42 run flats - HORRIBLE. With me being such a tire fanatic, I groaned out loud when I saw those tires) and I'm not sure if I like the wheels. Jury's out on that. The sales guy called em Chrome Spiders. They look more for the 20s crowd than a 44 year old. Plus there is some cheesy painted-on pinstriping that they can't remove. With the deal I got from my friend, I didn't care. I can replace the tires, no biggie, and yeah, that's gonna happen real soon.
Now all I have to do is get those things done, get my bulbs and we're in business.
Finally glad to be a real member here...

Nice move! I'm still stuck on my EL42 runflats and I've been planning on new tires since I purchased it. I can't wait to get new tires. I'm just trying to decide between A/S Plus' or PS2's. I'm getting close!
Oh yeah, post some pics!

I test drove a 350 with the A/S Plus and thought they were great, so I think I'm gonna get those.
Yes - pics are coming as soon as I get my tint, change my tires and change my bulbs to 8000K. Yeah yeah, go ahead and yell at me about not getting 6000K, but I've used 8000K for years and love em.

I replaced my EL42 tires with Michelin Ps2 after just 700 miles. I really could not stand the Bridgestone EL42 - they really are the worst tires and Really slippery in the rain.

I for one am in the same boat as you coolpops, i just don't have the funds for wheels right now lol..... I'm not a big fan of the G-spiders either, mainly because it's chrome, and there's just waaaaay too many spokes to clean.... (why couldn't I get the stock 5-spokes =[)
