Update: I just called Mcgrath Lexus and spoke to Ben Mutz (really nice guy)...I told him the situation he said "no no no! You shouldn't have be charged for that!" In a very disturbed tone.... So he's gonna take care of it tomorrow.
Looks like lexus won't have to sleep on the couch after all....

I'm not competent at this sort of thing. When changing the indicator bulbs on my 330ci I managed to break a bulb, get it stuck inside the housing and damaged the connector!
Should I do it or not?

3 months after my car was purchased, lexus of orlando hooked me up and did a good job =]
they replaced the front driver side axle because it had gone bad, and triple checked the rest of the car.... I was a very happy camper purchasing my car from them vs the dealerships in Miami..... i guess some of their cars down there are cheap for a reason *shrugs*

Pole Position
Jay - how hard is it to change the low beam and the parking lights? I want to get 6000k low beam plus putco led parking lights, but I read whlkev's diy and it seemed like it required some work.

I didn't feel like any part of it was fragile and wasn't fearing anything breaking at all. I would say even my fiancee could have changed the parking bulbs if she was inclined to do it (a very theoretical situation...).
That being said, I am more hands on with this kind of thing than most people... I've had ****ty cars in the past and just "went for it" with many DIY repairs because I wasn't afraid of breaking things. The biggest job I've ever done was major modifications to my motorcycle including changing out the entire front end suspension/brakes/brake lines with those of a different model. After successfully doing that, I've been less shy about just taking stuff apart and going to town at least after the warranty is done.

Update: I'm at Mcgrath Lexus of Chicago and the sales Manager Eric Hoffman took great care of me and resolved the situation as soon as I brought it to his attention. They credited back my $70 and billed the service department. He told me to come see him personally if another situation like this occurred....with that being said, I'm satisfied with the end result

i heard great things about JM and North Miami! =] i almost went down there to pick up a car down there, but because of my experience at Pembroke Pines, my family was very biased towards the dealerships down south.
