i have the HTC touch pro 2. theres an app for the phone to become a wifi hotspot. share internet up to 5 users at 3G speed with Sprint. pretty good for a 2 years old phone!
im getting an android phone so im selling these ipod related stuffs on ebay. wish me luck!
Why? I thought there was no good car integration solutions for Androids. It would be like using AUX, no screen or steering wheel controls. Also, wouldn't an iPhone be better for your next purchase since it has a better DAC for superior sound quality (not surprising being bred from an iPod). You can tether multiple users at 3G speeds with an iPhone (jailbroken) too with an app and leave the Touch permanently connected.
And yes "username32", the default maps program requires an internet connection for it to stream the maps. The standalone ones work better turn by turn, but since map data is huge, the price you pay is the size. Navigon, TomTom and Magellan are some of the best standalone turn by turn navigation apps for the iPhone, but they're all over a gig in size. I don't think live traffic works for those without an internet connection though.
