It's great... nothing "bad" about it at all. People find things to complain about with every car, but you'll notice most of the complaining in this forum is pretty petty stuff. We're a bunch of princesses complaining about peas here in the grand scheme of things.

Only major thing I had replaced was wheel bearing at 185,xxx km. I dont know about this site but around my area they said 06 300 has less problems than 350 and so did my buddy that works at Lexus shop, that's just what I hear around but who really knows.

It's a great DD.......as long as your not always in a hurry. The only major problem I had was the electric power steering failure which was replaced a couple of months before my warranty expired. Oh, also the runaway thing due to software issues.......haha.......just kidding.

I bought my 2006 GS300 RWD used as well. Love the car. It does have some minor rattles but I've managed to tune them out. My previous car was a Honda Civic, so it was a jump for me so I am not overly critical.

Got mine about a month ago and its been great. Good MPG for a V6, very smooth ride, and besides some cosmetics, looks identical to the 2010 GS. All the rattle noise was fix the first week I owned it. Took it back to the dealer they took care of the dash rattle. You can find one with relatively low mileage at a decent price.

I used to own 99 gs400. I currently have the 06 gs430 and I tell you there's a huge difference in performance, looks, stability and everything else. The 06+ gs drives a lot nicer and have better interior.
Take it for a ride and decide for yourself.

Fantastic gas mileage on my 06 GS300! Sips gas like a Civic. Much better MPG than our 07 Mercedes E 350.
The GS Ride is a little harsh for me but wife likes it.

Coming from a BMW M3 to an 06 GS430 (had for 2 months) to an 06 GS300, I actually like the GS300 better. Both GS's had all of the same options including ML, Nav, and all other options. The GS430 had alittle more power but IMO not that much. The GS300 gets alot better gas mileage and quieter on the highway(could have to do with 18's with Nitto NT 555's compared to 17's with Michelin Pilot Sports. I thought I would only want a GS430 but after driving the GS300 for a few weeks now, I would definetely go with the GS300 if gas mileage is a factor in your decision. Not really interested in doing anything to the GS300 as I will be building another E36 M3 once I find a good one this summer or fall...

Totally agree with the gas consumption. It even managed to yield better fuel economy compared to my old Z3 which is smaller, lighter with manual transmission and only 4-cylinders. And the GS300 can carry 5 people. This is the most economical car in my fleet beating my other 6-cyl cars including my E320, 911, 325i, Z3 3.0 Coupe.

Probably the best I've seen mine read was an average of around 32 mpg after filling up and going straight onto the highway with no traffic..
