Shark Fin no XM???
I just bought an 07 GS 350 AWD. I thought I had xm since I had ML and shark fin and AM/Sat button. Is this not right. Can you actually have all that and not have XM?? I'd not how do I get to it. Button does not get me there.

The car is prewired for XM so all cars have the antenna. Sharkfin is shared between radio, GPS and Sat radio as far as I am aware.
The pre-wire makes it easy to install - only need to install the xm reciever no need to wire a new antenna. But you do have to buy the OEM XM reciever.

i don't know about the gs, i thought the radio antenna is integrated into the rear windshield. in 06 gs, shark fin antenna was an option, not all had it. in those cars the radio antenna had to be somewhere else
and oem receiver is not the only option, you can also get vaistech. you can get an adapter which will then allow you to reuse the factory shark fin antenna for xm (or sirius).
cost wise, getting vaistech is usually a bit cheaper than oem

oem xm receiver is mounted in the trunk, upper part. i have studied it pretty well before

in terms of installation i think doing the vaistech is a tad easier, the trunk install it a bit more involved
