Default Worth it to get extended warranty?

Hi Guys,
I am new here, just want some suggestions if i should get extended warranty?
For a 2006 gs430, 40000 km now, still has factory engine and powertrain warranty.

The extended warranty go for
3 years/30,000km $2,588
3 years/45,000km $2,862

ps: I just did a vehicle check today and noticed the passanger/rear shocks are leaking.. any idea how much would it cost?
Thanks

30K km = 18.641K miles

so basically means the warranty will be good if you hardly use your car. LOL In 3 years my car was well over 80K miles. But the GS everything is expensive so..... down to you. For me it's not worth it cause I will exceed that mileage in no time. With my luck my car will have problem when it reach 18.642K miles.

I don't know who's quoting you these, but these are insane prices that I wouldn't consider even for a second. I can't imagine that Canada pricing is that far off from US pricing. I'm getting a quote on Lexus warranty for $1,660 for a total 7 years and 75,000 miles

Which dealership? Is it a CPO vehicle?
The dealership should inspect and fix anything broken before you buy the vehicle.
Even if something goes shortly after the purchase they should take care of it in my opinion.

Lot's of things can go wrong. But shocks is not something that is ever covered by extended warranties in my experience.
