Default Differences under the hood.

Hey all. I have searched and without any luck for exactly what I am looking for (tons of results to go through), I wanted to find out what the biggest differences were between the GS460 and GS350 under the hood. Now I know that its obviously the engine size so no flames please. What I mean is that I would like to ask that any of you with a GS350 and even 450h post pics of the underhood of your car. I am wanting to compare differences in placement of things like the intake, etc.

The reason being is I have found that K&N doesn't offer anything for the GS460 so I wanted to see if their products for the 350 and 450h would be able to be applied to the 460. Kind of like how no one makes springs for the 460, but the 350 springs will work fine. I appreciate any of your help.

The intake plumbing is completely different between the 460 and 350. Here's a photo of the 460.

Now here's the engine bay of a 350. Bad pic but you can see the intake pipe on the passenger side coming from under the engine cover.

That sure looks a hell of a lot busier under the covers than the 3L engine.

just to give it more thoughts, would it make more sense to look at intakes for the isf?

Not a bad idea.... I just know that by looking at the intake on the 460, there is definitely room to install a setup similar to the K&N typhoon system.. I just can't find anywhere that has a setup for the 460. Granted, I don't have alot of knowledgebase of what other cars have a similar intake routing/configuration as the 460 so that limits me alot too.

Bottom line: After hearing nothing but positive remarks with the typhoon system and just a replacement filter at that, I know I want to do something here...

Just remove the airbox, and install a cone filter. I am sure once you have started to work on it, you will figure ways out on how to fabricate certain things ( pipes, clamps, supports )
