Default How much does a Lexus dealership typically charge to check out a vehicle?

I'm sure they all vary a little, but just on average, what would be a good estimate for a complete inspection at a Lexus dealership?

I found a 07 GS 350 I wanted 5 hours away, so I'd definitely want to get it checked out before I commit.

Thanks

Probably one hour of labor for a basic look over and a quick hook up to techstream. Around $100?

Depends on how thorough you want them to be.

OK thanks. Been a while since I've been to an actual Lexus dealer and didn't know if they had a more outrageous rate.

Guess it worked out nice that there's one down the road from the car lot I plan to buy from.

Now lets just hope all is well with it. *crosses fingers*

Take it to a Toyota dealership. It will cost you a lot less and they know how to service lexus GS's.

I actually just got off the phone with one of the local lexus dealer service rep to have my newly acquired 2004 RX330 with 77600 miles to be checked out for an auto headlight leveling warning diagnostic, brake pads and timing belts (to see if those are still in good shape) and was informed no charge . Unless if they need to be replaced or have work done otherwise. So i guess, it varies on dealerships.

The dealer I go to charges $140 (standard hourly labor rate) for a diagnostic. You may even be able to get it waived! I take in my car for service so often, they typically check things out for free or at a seriously discounted price.

If you take the Lexus in and have them do an oil service on the vehicle, the technician in most cases, will shop your car for any issues.

There difference between my lexus dealer last time i asked, and my toyota dealer was a price difference of ~$11.

Lexus wants $100 flat fee at my place for checkup. and Toyota I believe was $86 or $89.

I always go to Lexus though because I get special treatment there (not the lobby, rental car, and food type of hook up).
