I just ordered some rotors and pads and the vendor was very particular to the following information about my car:
2008 or 2009
Made in USA or Cananda or Japan
The brakes are different on those cars and hence they asked me for my VIN to make sure they send me the right rotors.

Just spoke with the owner of Lexus dealer here this morning regarding warranty on after market parts. They confirm that exhaust, intakes and suspension do not void warranty.
He also informed me that the 4th Gen GS will be launched as a 2012 model. The line up available to us will be: GS250, GS350, GS450h and GSF.

You are right, the sways fit. However, the brakes do not.

there are no GS made in USA or canada. all made in japan. makes me wonder why they would ask you that kind of question

Incidentally, would you be kind enough to refer a recommended vendor to me for BBK's please? Thanks

Well that is all good news for me then! They did mention something about "powdercoating" between 08 and 09 models. I didn't ask too many questions! Fingers crossed I get the correct rotors.
