Default Replacing 07 GS side mirrors with 2010/11 mirrors

As far as I can tell, the difference between the old/new mirrors are the built in turning signals.

The question is if anyone has documentation, or know how much work is involved with replacing the side mirrors off a 07 GS with a new one? Maybe extra wiring is needed for the signal light?

welcome to clublexus. a lot of the topics have been discussed before and search will come up with a lot of info. there are a few members who have done this mod, you need the whole mirror assembly (not just the cover) iirc. and yes you will need to tap the turn signals. price is going to be expensive, over 1000

Welcome, GSh.

Like rominl said, if you want to stay OEM, you must replace the the entire mirror assembly, and it is expensive. Some people have done this, and some have opted to get non-OEM mirror covers. Both options will involve some wiring since '06 and '07 mirrors aren't prewired for turn signals.

The DIY in my signature will take you to instructions by member EYEKUTR for the non-OEM cover route. My covers cost about $200 (incl. painting) and took me about 6 hours to do the entire install. I've had them for about 6 months and have had no issues.

keep in mind those are just the covers. imo its a better deal but a little more work involved. its much cheaper than paying about $1k for a pair of oem mirrors.

Looks like my link was for the GS300 version ... I ordered the ones in your link, but I think the price was a little lower. The design is a little different between the two from what I can see ... LED lens looks a little longer in the GS300 version and is flush with the cover.

Here is how mine turned out:
