Default Can I have your opinions please on wheels?

Hi guys,

I am about to pull the trigger on these wheels:

MRR GT1
Finish: Black
19 inch
19 8.5 and 19 9.5 offsets: 35 F and 45 R

Two questions:

1. How aggressive will the car stand with these? Will I need spacers to get the flush look I have at the moment with my OEM 18's? I am running 20mm spacers on all four wheels.

NOTE: I am running on Eibach springs.

2. What size tyres do you recommend should go with these wheels? I do not want a stretched look like this IS

With your stock wheels and 20mm spacers, you effectively have a +25 offset (outboard). That said, 9.5 +45 will not sit as flush to the fender. I have 20x9.5 +45 in the rear of my 3GS and it's not flush. I will be adding a 10-15mm spacer.

The front should be OK.

You may rub depending on the type and size tire you run but the Eibach's are pretty conservative in terms of amount of drop they provide.

iirc stock wheels are 8 +45, with 20mm they are effectively 8 +25, or equivalent to 8.5 +31 and 9.5 +43.

comparing to the 8.5 +35 and 9.5 +45, you can get an idea what it's like

tires, if you don't like stretched look, i say 245 front and 275 rear

from this post it looks like you won't need spacers if you get the correct offset. I assume they offer the same offset in the rims you want?

Yup, from teh calculation above it seems the offsets of these wheels will be fine. I am ordering them in 19 inch BTW.

Vendor recommends the following tyre sizes:

Tire sizes 245-35-19 F and 275-30-19 R

Nice wheels, But 20's would look a lot better than 19's on your car....just my opinion

My opinion is that wheels are very useful to have on a car.

No the wheels are not here yet LOL. I posted a picture of these wheels on an IS which are also wrapped too tight with rubber.

I think 19 inchers with proper tyre size should be just fine. Fingers crossed.

Looks like you have a nice house there in your desert oasis.
