Lightbulb GS450H Wiring for Xtreme HID Fogs (HELP)

I have seen the wiring post for non-GS450Hs for installing the HID kit for fogs. The install for the GS450H has one major difference in that the 12 volt battery is located in the trunk. Due to the battery location, what is the best way to wire for the positive battery terminal? Keep in mind the wires that come with the kit are not long enough to reach the trunk.

Thanks!!

L

You dont need to use the relay. Just plug the ballast right to the OEM plug. You will probably have to plug them in backwards for them to work. This is how I have mine wired up and have no issues.

What do you mean plug them in backwards?

I also read something that states the system (i'm assuming the HID Xtreme system) requires a constant 12V...I assume if there isn't a constant 12V it may lead to premature burnout of the bulb...

Not really, basiclly you can just plug it into the OEM wire without additional plus that need's battery. On all my earlier cars i never plugged it in through the battery just used OEM plug and it worked like a charm.I am not sure what the guy mean't about plugging it backwards.

if you plug them in as they should go, they may not work (power up). If this is the case you have to insert the plug backwards to reverse the polarity for them to work. I wish someone (vendor) would make an extension piece that would all the PNP wires to clip in place. Maybe its offered and I am not aware of it. Every set I have owned I had to plug them in reverse for them to work.

Just leave everything open after you plug them up and start the car and turn them on to make sure everything is working.

Had to plug mine in backward as well.. The HIDextra kit actually had a note saying I would most likely need to do that and their ballast even have tabs on both sides just in case so I dont have to worry about the plug coming undone.

Also, I did not use a relay and I have no issues at all.. they fire right up..
