GS intake option

You mean a replacement filter element ( drop in filter )? Yes, you should be fine with those as well and a slight improvement in throttle response should be noticeable.
However, one of the disadvantages of these filter elements is that they are cotton sprayed with oil. The oil can foul your MAF's and cause you problems over a period of time.

K&N doesn't make a drop in filter for the later model GS 350. That's too bad. But the link that ReyRey sent had one made by Toms Racing. It's a quite inexpensive way to add 5hp (according to one of the descriptions). I guess I'll give that a try first. Does anyone know the quality or performance enhancement of the Toms Racing one firsthand?
K&N 33-2345 for $48. It should get here early next week.
I was thinking of going the intake route but for $300 and getting about the same result as a drop in, I went with the K&N drop in filter.
Regarding the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, I've heard the same thing. Over a long period of time, the oil from the K&N filter may or may not damage it.
